FILM DISTRIBUTOR and online retailer TLA Video awarded Judas Kiss three major awards in its annual TLA Gaybie Awards: Best Drama, Best Lead Actor (Charlie David) and Best Supporting Actor (Sean Paul Lockhart).

“We are honored that the film won these three awards, proud of our cast members for the recognition of their stellar performances, and thrilled that the hard work of our talented crew has been recognized in this way,” said writer-producer Carlos Pedraza.

The film garnered the most nominations of any drama, and won in every category in which it was nominated.

“We were up against some very fine films — including Oscar winners, big-budget mainstream studio films and network dramas,” said director J.T. Tepnapa. “The dedication and professionalism of our cast and crew, and the faith our investors and donors had in this project, made these awards possible.”

Judas Kiss, Best Drama
We’re not totally surprised that Judas Kiss took “Best Gay Drama.” Since it started hitting the film festival circuit last summer, this movie has been a huge hit with gay audiences. Following a washed-up gay filmmaker who gets the opportunity to meet his college-aged self, this clever and intelligent gay time-travel tale – peppered with a sexy young cast, high production values and an unconventional script – packs a creative and captivating punch that holds up to repeat viewings. Charlie David, Best Lead Actor
Actor/author/screenwriter/producer/travel show host Charlie David is a jack-of-all-trades if we have ever seen one! We’re absolutely thrilled that he is this year’s Gaybie Award Winner for “Best Lead Actor in a Gay Movie.” With roles in Dante’s Cove, A Four Letter Word, Mulligans, 2 Frogs in the West and the new comedy Vance and Pepe’s Porn Start, he’s always been one of the best in our hearts!

Sean Paul Lockhart, Best Supporting Actor
There are many adult film actors who long to break into mainstream film. Sean Paul Lockhart (formerly known to gay porn aficionados as Brent Corrigan) has the talent and charisma to pull it off! Since his mainstream debut in Judas Kiss, Sean has also had roles in the gay comedy Sister Mary and the new cult favorite horror anthology Chillerama. We’re excited to see him do just about anything and can’t wait to see his next movie!

Also nominated for Best Supporting Actor was Judas Kiss star Richard Harmon, who played Danny Reyes.

Viewers in the U.S., U.K., and some European countries have alternate access to the film and its ‘making of’ documentary.

APRIL 15: Planet Earth, Meet ‘Judas Kiss’ in HD

After successful launches via traditional media in North America, Europe and Asia, Judas Kiss gets its worldwide digital release in HD on April 15.

“This is our most exciting news since we released the film on DVD last October,” said writer-producer Carlos Pedraza. “Anyone, anywhere on the globe will be able to affordably watch or download Judas Kiss. Even more exciting, viewers will get to share in the film’s financial success.”

Blue Seraph Productions, which produced the film, is offering viewers 10 percent of the proceeds when their friends follow their recommendation to purchase the film for streaming rental or HD download.

“Judas Kiss has done so well so far because people have recommended it to their friends and family,” said director J.T. Tepnapa. “Our worldwide digital release allows us to offer them a reward for their loyalty.”

More importantly, this release expands the film’s reach to the rest of the world where traditional distribution left viewers without a legitimate means to see the it.

STREAMING RENTAL Starting April 15, viewers around the world can watch the film streaming on any Internet-connected device at up to HD resolution (1280 x 720p), depending on their bandwidth. The affordable rental price — available in multiple international currencies, including Euros, British pounds, Mexican pesos, Canadian and Australian dollars — allows viewers to watch just the film, or they can purchase the deluxe rental, which includes the never-released 40-minute version of the “Judas Kiss: Behind the Scenes” documentary.

Prices will vary by country and currency.

In the United States, Judas Kiss is available for streaming on the Netflix Instant and Hulu platforms, both in HD where available.

DOWNLOAD IN HD The film will also be available for download on April 15 in high-definition MP4 (1280 x 720p). Purchasers will be able to view the video on any of their video-enabled devices, including the iPhone and iPad. MP4 is a standard video format that can be viewed on nearly any video device.

HULU STARTED streaming Judas Kiss today, making the film viewable by virtually anyone with an Internet connection in the United States.
