Nominated for 4 TLA Video Gaybie Awards!

FILM DISTRIBUTOR and online retailer TLA Video has nominated Judas Kiss for four major awards in its annual TLA Gaybie Awards, including Best Drama, Best Lead Actor (Charlie David) and two Best Supporting Actor nods (Richard Harmon and Sean Paul Lockhart).

“We are honored that the film has been nominated, and proud of our cast members for the recognition of their stellar performances,” said writer-producer Carlos Pedraza. Judas Kiss leads the drama field with its four nominations.

Anyone can vote as many times as they like at the TLA website. So please do! And tell all your friends! (See “How to Vote” below. Hint: There really aren’t any rules. So vote vote vote!)

UPDATE Voting closed March 31, with the awards announcement scheduled for April 15.

“We are up against some very fine films — including Oscar winners, big-budget mainstream studio films and network dramas,” said director J.T. Tepnapa.

Edgar), Jason Butler Harner (The Green), Benjamin Lutz (The Love Patient), Matthew Martin (Baby Jane?), Matthew Montgomery (Finding Mr. Wright), Jacob Newton (Longhorns), Rick Okon (Romeos), Jon Prescott (The One) and Matt Smith (Christopher and His Kind).

Best Supporting Actor — David J. Bonner (Flight of the Cardinal), Armie Hammer (J. Edgar), Richard Harmon (Judas Kiss), Scott Higgins (Hold Your Peace), Cheyenne Jackson (The Green), Sean Paul Lockhart (Judas Kiss), Robert Longstreet (Septien), Ian Novick (The One), Christopher Plummer (Beginners), Derek Villanueva (Longhorns), Dylan Vox (Longhorns) and Chris Zylka (Kaboom).

The Gaybies are TLA’s effort to honor “what we feel was the very best work in gay-themed movies and literature from the past year,” according to its website. “This year’s nominees were hand-picked by our opinionated, gay-movie-obsessed staff.”

HOW TO VOTE Website visitors get to pick the winners from among the nominees in each category. Simply click on the nominee you prefer in all the categories you want, then scroll down and press the VOTE button. The winners will be announced April 15.

Voting is open to everyone. There is no limit on the number of votes you may cast. In other words, to quote Huey Long, “Vote early and often.” Ballots can be cast until March 31.
