JUDAS KISS kicks off the Second Annual Roanoke (Virginia) Equality Community Film Series, an event associated with the city’s Pride celebration, on September 15, at 6:30 p.m., at the Blue 5 Restaurant and Nightclub.
The screening will be part of a big event, including a pre-screening party, appetizers, a cash bar, door prizes and a performance by musical artist Marc McBarron Kessler from New York City (pictured).
“We’re really happy to support this film series, now in its second year, as its organizers work to fix it as a feature of Roanoke’s Pride celebration,” said Judas Kiss writer-producer Carlos Pedraza.
Also screening as part of the film series is Beyond Gay: The Politics of Pride, the award-winning documentary about pride celebrations around the world. Its exhibition in Roanoke is significant because this year marks the first-ever Pride March on the city’s streets.
Beyond Gay screens on September 17, at 7 p.m., at the The Park nightclub.
