
JUDAS KISS OPENS the GLBT Sidebar for Flickers, the 15th Annual Rhode Island International Film Festival, with a screening scheduled Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at 7 p.m., at the Bell Street Chapel theater in Providence, R.I.
“We are delighted to be showing Judas Kiss,” said Richard Corso, program director of the festival’s GLBT Sidebar. He added that the festival plans a reception at the venue prior to the screening. Event details will be added to the screening’s Facebook Event Page.
The Rhode Island festival previously awarded director J.T. Tepnapa an award in its Barren Branches GLBT Screenplay Competition for his script, Outing Joey, which is actually mentioned in Judas Kiss.
Tellier Killaby, the film’s unit production manager, is scheduled to attend the screening on behalf of the cast and crew.
Flickers: Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is New England’s largest and most prestigious festival, taking place August 9-14. Ranked as a one of the Top 12 Film Festivals in the United States, this world-class event will be held at venues around Providence.
The festival will feature 175 films over six days. Judas Kiss was selected from among more than 4,000 entrants to the festival.
The festival is sponsored by Flickers, now in its third decade, which presents and creates film, educational programs and outreach, live performances and cultural events. Flickers produces video, audio and film about the arts for television, festivals and other non-profit organizations. The organization produces educational programs about the media arts.
