Although Timo Descamps is a star in Belgium and the Netherlands, his popularity is only beginning to rise here in the States. Here’s your chance for a little taste of Timo’s European popularity! This is a news clip of Timo discussing his role in an American movie, our own Judas Kiss.
Thanks to Tom (in the comments below), we now have the English translation available from Flemish, which also gives a nice overview of Timo’s résumé.

Voice reporter:
Timo Descamps is going to America. You may know him from the tv-show: “Star actor – Star Artist” and “Spring”.
Timo is going to be a cast member in a new movie.
Voice Timo:
I’m going to play the role of Shane Lyons. It’s about a boy who grew up in Europe but moved with his parents to the USA where he attends a movie school. Uhm, but he isn’t really a nice guy.
Voice reporter:
One day Timo was bored. When surfing the net he ended up on the movie director’s page.
Voice Timo:
They sent me a piece of the script and asked me to film it here in Belgium. Actually I filmed it in The Netherlands but that’s pretty the same. I put the scene on a dvd and sent it back to America. After that they decided to give me the part.
I have some ideas about how it’s going to be in America, but maybe it will be ok and maybe it’s going to be the same as acting in Belgium. Of course it’ll be in English so that’s a big difference.
I don’t think I have to expect I’ll become a Brad Pitt by the end of the year. It would be great if this will become a success and if I could do something like this again in the future. But if that’s not the case I’ll gladly come back to work in Belgium because, for the moment, they aren’t rid of me yet.
